If you have a proven track record in the insurance industry and the ability to assist brokers with their diverse needs, we want to hear from you.

What does the Broker Support Advisor do?
  • Deliver comprehensive support to new branches and brokers through the Personal Lines Support Hotline.
  • Provide assistance and guidance in the quoting to bind process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Address market-specific questions and provide tailored responses to broker inquiries.
  • Perform coverage and risk assessments, helping brokers make informed decisions.
  • Navigate BIG's underwriting processes, policies, and workflows, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Manage and facilitate service and policy changes, helping brokers meet client needs.
  • Offer support and guidance on internal systems, including PB, Applied, Portals, and Team.
  • Utilize the online queues and chat function to assist brokers promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring brokers receive the best possible support.

Does this sound like you?
  • Exceptional customer service skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities to ensure brokers receive the highest level of support.
  • Proficiency in insurance systems & technology, including PowerBroker (an asset), Applied, Market Portals
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and resourcefulness to address complex inquiries and challenges.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in quoting to bind processes, coverage, and risk assessments.
  • A willingness to adapt to changes and a commitment to continuous learning to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Strong teamwork and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with brokers and various departments.
  • Professional demeanor and conduct in interactions with brokers and markets, representing the company effectively.

Qualifications
  • Current RIBO license in good standing
  • 5-7 years experience in insurance
  • Working towards CAIB or CIP would be an asset
